First Steps

After a month of delay. the Fleet, The Imperator's Hand, Finally re-enters the Teron star system. Most of the fleet land on a Jovian moon on the outer edge of the system. while a small number of ships make their way towards the a distant planet. after several days of travel, the ships finally dock at a planetary space station. in one of these ships, sits the Emperor of the Mimorvadon, Relerus'Teron. and a young Aceda known as Kiny Diaveras. in Kiny's temporary room, a monitor showing an underwater image with many strange creatures suddenly changes images. now on it. on it shows a planet covered in different shades of green and red with large patches that appeared to be cities And many small seas. underneath it, letters of a language not yet understandable by the Aceda flash. A voice is heard from the other side of her door. "please prepare,we will be entering the station shortly before steeping foot on the planet! take as much time as needed and pack all that is required, you will likely not be returning to this very ship and if you are it shall be awhile. and also, Welcome to the home planet of the Mimorvadon...Pexepti!"

Kiny looked at an object she was holding in her hand. A small gem encased in a rare mineral from her home world. This was a gift from her parents that she had been given before leaving. She gripped it and held it close before putting it into her bag. She stood up on her feet and threw her bag around her shoulder. Her preview of the planet she would be staying for a some time was quickly forgotten, she wanted to see for herself the world using her eyes and not a screen. Before moving she used the device on her wrist to send a message back home confirming her arrival to the Mimorvadon home world. After the message was sent she walked outside the door and spoke to the Mimorvadon who she had earlier heard. "I am excited to be here. this is my first time on another planet."

She was lead out of the ship to a docking platform. here, the emperor waited. "I'm glad to see you once again, its been a [day] hasn't it? please, now that we are once again out of these ships, I must ask how were the accommodations? please, tell us of any additions or improvements that would help you feel comfortable, you are going to stay awhile."

OOC: Italics=character's thoughts. Just so you know I never mentioned it

Before giving her answer Kiny took out a small item with a reflective surface and looked at her reflection. "I was comfortable enough with the accommodations. It won't be easy to be comfortable when I am surrounded by another species but this is just natural home sickness." It's been a few weeks and they still don't look yellow. I hope that means it's still far off. She put the item back into her bag and looked back to the emperor. "I feel that, that was as comfortable as I will be able to get for the first part of my stay here. I'm sure you understand."

"Remember, if you need anything of importance, we will find the time to retrieve it. now please, fallow me" The group was quickly lead to though a short corridor, and eventually into a small, circular room."be warned, Some Mimorvadon become ill though descent, I'm not sure the same will happen to you as well." The door to the room shuts and The room itself makes a sudden jerk but becomes smooth after awhile. though, the room continues to feel like its moving. after several minuets the feeling halts and the doors open. on the other side is a large, Bright square with a Large orient Building backdrop the whole thing. several Mimorvadon are seen walking the square and, while most just walk, some stare at the new arrivals with awestricken looks about them.

Kiny notices as the attention of some of the commuters are drawn to her. At first this creates a bit of discomfort in her but she quickly diverts her attention to the surrounding structures. Her feeling of discomfort was only slightly lessened as she sees the vastly different architectural designs of the buildings around her. "My I was expecting something different but this is more unfamiliar than I was expecting. I-I guess I'll need more time than I thought to get used to things here." her attention was turned to the emperor. "Just to clarify what is it you will be asking of me to do during my visit here?"

"ah, I'm surprised I didn't tell you on the trip here! Its simple, We need you to represent the best interest of the Aceda. sense Diaveras, that is, your father, isn't here to make certain choices, you shall aid us when such questions arise. you shall also help provide information, so we may better understand Aceda as well. And Finally, you shall be the Face of the Aceda that we shall introduce into the public. any further questions about your role?"

"I see, none at all, sir." Kiny took the item from before out once more to look at her reflection. She looked closely at her eyes scanning for any sign of alteration in her eye color. She could see a few specs of change in three place in each of her eyes. Oh please don't tell me! Please don't be so soon, please. this is going to be very important. She looked back at the emperor. "When will all of this begin exactly?"

"well you just arrived! we shall give you a [week] to get antiquated with the building, to tour our capital city, and to just relax and prepare! we shall first introduce you to the counsel and you will need to get a communicator right away. but after you may just do as you wish, to an extent of course...what is the matter? are you feeling ill?"

"No I am fine. I am just tired is all, I have not gone through such a form of FTL travel, it must have affected me a bit being a bit young." Kiny looked once more at her eyes in the mirror and saw no changes within them. "I appreciate the [week] of rest." Hopefully it's enough time to pass through fluxuation, I have no idea what I'll go through and I wouldn't want to cause a mess.

"Alright, we have supplies of Aceda Medicine if you need. now please, lets be off. you will need a communicator to understand anyone yourself." once again the group is hurried along towards the building. again, along the way Mimorvadon ether walk a direction, or stop to watch the unseen alien before them. inside, it is a large, round complex with many rooms. though the room the group enters exist a long hallway with many more doors within. ant last, after awhile of walking they enter a room where a single pedestal sits. and on it sits a odd looking device. next to it, another Mimorvadon... "and here is your communicator. please put it on to where these go around your hearing sensors." Kiny Gets the Device on with little effort. "so, how does it feel? it should allow you to understand all Mimorvadon. It should also tell you any Mimorvadon word you may come across if you push this button, though this doesn't work with all writing styles."

"Thank you." Kiny began to listen as the conversations around her began to translate. She was surprised at how the voices of Mimorvadon sounded so unusual after the translation, some almost made her laugh. "It's a bit comforting hearing my own language again. I can't thank you enough for this."

"of course, it is only natural, we having such technology, for us to to provide you with the ability. Unfortunately, the counsel is currently preparing for your introductions. I have been asked to escort you to your room for the moment, please fallow me." after further walking they reach a large door. the room was of smiler design to the one Kiny had on the ship. but with an added commodity of a large, round window. though the window, a large city, covered in hundreds of strange and colorful buildings, could be seen stretching on for miles. "this, is your room. If you have any need for any further additions, please speak to me or the rooms caretaker. you are free to explore the building as you please, just dont bother construction crews. I hope you don't mind, the communicator has a tracking device on it, so as we may easily locate you when needed. I apologize for the lack of privacy and hope you understand."

"I don't mind. I must thank you for everything you have done for me thus far and hope that I may be able to return the favor as ambassador." As soon as she was let alone Kiny sat down on the bed provided for her and took out a device, quickly writing a message to her father"

Dad, I am sorry but the due to timing I may not have been the best choice for ambassador. My eyes are beginning to change to yellow, you know what that means. I am worried by what may happen when it starts. Should I see if I can have them push the conference to to be sooner or wait? I can't tell how long it is before it starts the rate of change in my eyes is too inconsistent.

With the message sent Kiny chose to venture out and explore her surroundings to take her mind off of her problem. As she had heard there were Mimorvadon performing construction in places. She had passed a few before noticing one that looked a bit strange compared to the last few she had seen. In a short time she had learned why, they were making a few mistakes, the Mimorvadon themselves looked tired and must not have been able to fully concentrate. She noticed as a platform holding a few of the Mimorvadon become unstable. She saw as materials began falling and the platform begin to collapse. She reacted by running over to the area and activating her manipulation of gravity, catching the platform and the mimorvadon in mid fall. She lowered the mimorvadon safely and reaised the platform back to it's position, creating a few foci of gravity to lock it in place. "Th-that looked like it was going to be bad." Kiny looked at the Mimorvadon who were staring at her looknig confused, she thought they might now have understood her language. She stood there unsure of what to do and worried about what they were thinking.

"I'm sorry." the worker spoke. "but, you are...are not allowed in the area. please......" A voice overhead is heard, obviously from an loudspeaker of some sort. "Kiny, I Apologize. these workers currently can not understand you." The engineer looks up with confusion. "I must ask you leave the area you are in. construction work is being performed on all doors and entrances not yet modified. as such all unauthorized personal are currently not allowed in the area. thank you for understanding." A chime can be heard and all sounds above cease. the worker continues to show misunderstanding, and a bit of fear.

After hearing the announcement Kiny quickly gestured trying to show she was apologizing, hoping the Mimorvadon might understand then quickly left the area to prevent any other problems. Kiny stopped seeing construction sites and took the opportunity to explore the area and try to memorize her way around. After some time had passed she finally received a reply from her father. She took out her device and read the message.

Do not worry Kiny, stressing will bring it about faster. Think of the waterfall at home that you always go to in order to relax and calm yourself as much as you can. If you are afraid then ask the Mimorvadon to reschedule for a later date, when you think it will have passed. For now just remain as calm as possible to slow down the process. It won't be as bad as last time, I promise you.

Reading the message helped to ease her nerves a bit and she put it away. She thought of the waterfall that was mentioned. She heard the sound of the water and felt the cool air that was always around it. She felt tension ease across her body and let out a small sigh of relief. She looked in the mirror once more and saw no change in her eyes. This further relieved her stress and a smile broke out across her face, she felt confident that she would be able to attend the meeting as it was currently scheduled.

About a day passed, uneventful. but upon the second day of kiny's stay upon Pexepti, the council of the Mimorvadon was, at last, ready to introduce themselves to the Aceda Ambassador. Kiny was lead though several hallways by a small (for Mimorvadon standards) Mimorvadon who was greatly excited by meeting her. after several minuets (nearly an hour) they made entered a large, round room. three large alters rose symmetrically in the room. halfway up these a round ledge that surrounded the room stuck out with fifteen Mimorvadon seated within. at the top of the alters stood strange machinery.
she was lead though a door next to one of the alters. the room was square of average size.in the center sat five chairs, three occupied and one large enough for an Aceda. upon being seated she was greeted by a familiar face "hello, Kiny. it is well to see you again. allow me to introduce to you the council of the Mimorvadon government. as you know I am Emperor Relerus'Teron, and these are these are the council. birabellire'Teron the minister of foreign relations and war. poulustus'Teron, the Minister of public affairs and home security. And Aroratus'Teron, the minister of technology and advance research. the council has been very eager to meet you, how have you been?"

Kiny gave a gesture, closing her eyes and slightly lowering her head then returning it up once more, to show her gratitude to them and to show respect. "Thank you Relerus'Teron, I have been well these past few days. I am also pleased to meet the ministers here and have been anticipating this since I landed on your planet. I apologize for not keeping a distance from construction sites as you requested but I could not stop myself when I saw that platform fall. I hope it will not affect this meeting in any way." She looked at the ministers one by one and repeated her earlier gesture to each of them. "The government on my home planet is quite larger than this one having a total of thirty-eight members, so I hope it is not offensive in any way that I was expecting a similarly sized meeting here today."

Poulustus'Teron turned to Kiny and spoke "please, do not fear your invasion of the construction area. that Mimorvadon may owe his life to yours. and besides, the construction is to simply increase the size of the doors (which takes some time as some walls may have additional wiring within)." Aroratus'Teron was the next to speak. "now, we have called you to both meet you, and your species. are you well to speak or shall we give you more time? are your hungry? Tired? we may have many questions to ask, if it is fine with you."

"I feel well and ready for however much time may pass during this meeting. I am prepared to answer every question in the best interest of my species, on behalf of my species. I do not feel any need for food at the moment and am well rested. I feel that now would be the best time to go through this meeting."

"We shall start with an easy question to ask, but difficult to answer. We want you to tell us about your species, the rise of your civilizations, your unity, and the development of your technology. we shall be recording your answer, as well as others. are you comfortable with this?"

"Easy to ask and, against your prediction, easy to answer. As part of my family, such things are basic knowledge as we must have a level of education far beyond the rest of the Aceda. I would explain the reason but I am too low a life form to speak of it, only my father can freely explain the topic that relates to. Now on to my species. The entirety of the species is unified under my father and his teachings. There is but one Aceda that is not cooperating with the species however that is a personal matter of my family alone. Our technology is built to extend our natural abilities to manipulate the force of gravity and plasma as well as our ability to open portals that connect two areas of space." Kiny gives a display of these three abilities first forming a large black orb in the air above them and firing plasma to orbit around the gravity orb then opening a portal in front of the beam, on the other side of which is a small star of low brightness. The portal covers the ceiling above them and the light fills the room. "That is the star that your planet orbits. Finally as for our development, which I saved for last as it will be the longest. Our species was born with the power of my father and the power of the Desnera. With Diaveras's energy the Densera hatched hundreds of thousands of us in his image. The colony formed on that spot is now the capital which you, Relerus'Teron, stepped foot in. From the capital did we begin to expand sending our Indrisenten to find suitable areas of the planet to colonize. With multiple successes we have been able to spread across the continents of our planet and eventually the species grew to its current size. I assume that my species will be receiving the same information about your species."

the council member talked with each other with a low whisper, so that kiny could not hear. after a minuet, the council member of Public safety and home security, poulustus'Teron, spoke at last. "how many wars, any kind truly, has your species started, or were involved with in any way. and also, what percentage of your population is involved, or part of a military of any type? please, do not fear. you are allowed to ignore this question. I simply wish to know for...personal reasons. also....how do you feel about Mimorvadon as a whole, the short time you have been here?" the emporer spoke softly to kiny in a tone the others could not hear. "he fears an attack. it is his job to do so. I apologize for how his speech sounded. Most of us know Diaveras will not attack without provocation."

"Thirteen wars. All were forced upon us by the opposing species, none of our wars have been against ourselves. The most notable war is the Tenri war where we were forced to develop weaponry. Out of the entire population 36% enlists in the military but only 28% of the population becomes part of the military. In my brief period here I have gotten to see how the Mimorvadon act as species and I have quite a positive opinion of it as a whole." Kiny looks at the other ministers to see their expressions. "Is there anything else that must be asked of me?"

again, the ministers and emperor gather around and speak in hushed voices. after another minute, the Minister of Technology and Advance Research, stepped forward. "please, glad to meet you! I, as I already introduced myself as, am Aroratus'Teron. I am the Minister of all technology and the research in such related fields. My question is one fitting of my position. your species, as observed by all in this room and several outside, can produce energy. my question is what is the nature of the energy, and how is it produced?"
